When we first discussed, she already had a logo she designed herself and she liked a lot. However she gave me a chance in designing a new logo.
I researched more about MHE and the importance of branding for nonprofits. I knew I was ready to design a logo for her brand.

I always sketch my ideas first, try to see what makes sense, what fits together, how can I create a cohesive identity that matches their values?
This is where I see what fits with MHELS, in terms of wordmarks and icons that represent their values.

I made a custom M, H, and E for the logo. I rotated the M to form the E, and ensured all letters we're equal in sizing and spacing.
I then thought of combining all letters into one to create MHELS's logo mark. This signifies coming together to share stories or insights on MHE and how we can assist individuals with MHE.

Now that the logo was created, I worked on the color scheme.
Dark Blue: This color represents trust and professionalism. Blue is often seen as trustworthy and many brands use this color in the healthcare industry.
Light Blue: This color gives the energy for the brand. We want to build a community and share our experiences.
